Your Clinical Skills teaching sessions take place at The Clinical Skills Teaching and Learning Centre.
The centre is located in Block E of the Waterhouse building (building number 355 on the campus map)
The Clinical Skills Team includes 11 academic staff from various clinical backgrounds and 3 professional services staff.
The Clinical Skills Centre is a simulated clinical environment, as such we require you to wear your scrubs (provided) and be bare below the elbows for teaching sessions and when attending the learning zone.
The department adopts a flipped classroom methodology which requires you to independently watch a ‘prep presentation’ prior to attending each clinical skills session.
Sessions then consist of demonstration from one of the team on either a simulated patient or manikin followed by working in pairs with your peers to practice your examination technique upon one another.
